Welcome to iFNRI! Everything you need to know about food and nutrition you can find here at your fingertips. iFNRI is a web-based service that delivers online tools for food and nutrition information. The iFNRI is an umbrella program that harmonizes the different information and communication technology (ICT) projects of the Institute. Through this program, FNRI-DOST infuses ICT in food and nutrition as a means to accelerate the Institute's efficient delivery of its programs and services to its various clients.
The FNRI-DOST fulfills its third mandate to disseminate food and nutrition information and technologies among its various clients. However, the Institute encountered problems arising mainly from the lack of computerized systems to support its functions, such as assessment, measurement, collection, service, business, and promotion, on a regular basis. To address these problems, the FNRI-DOST recognizes the inevitable role of ICT as an important tool to guarantee provision of quality and timely services to its clients. The Institute's acknowledgement of the importance of ICT requires an enabling environment that hopes to encourage open competition, trust and security, interoperability, and the availability of resources for ICT.
It is envisioned that the improved efficiency of the Institute’s services due to its enhanced ICT capability would be felt throughout the Philippines, even in areas with limited internet connectivity.
iAssess creates, administers and provides thorough analysis of anthropometric tests, recipe and menu evaluation on the Internet and Intranet.
iServe envisions to make database management and processes more automated for an efficient and effective workflow..
iBusiness hopes to enable the Institute's laboratory to link its internal and external data processing systems more efficiently and flexibly, to work more closely with suppliers and partners.
iPromote will deliver promotional marketing messages and products to the various clients of the Institute.
iLearn will help various clients of the Institute with or without nutrition background by offering numerous types of media platforms to teachers, students and nutrition advocates.
iAdmin aims to create a paperless office to improve productivity, performance and total transparency
With its user-friendly layout, easy-to-understand content, enhanced photos and interactive features, iFNRI is all out to bring food and nutrition at your fingertips. With iFNRI, the hope to provide optimum nutrition to the Filipino people is possible!
